Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniele Scurti started the match with the kick off. Daniele Scurti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bologna FC's Anfilogino Marinelli got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Alberto Polidori got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 24 minutes, Dario Valeri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bologna FC and the Materazzinter F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Bologna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Valeri to maneuver through the defense. Franco Mingione sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dario Valeri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Emanuele Bozzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Bologna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Di Piazza to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Emanuele Bozzo made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Dario Valeri sent off a good shot on target. Bianco Marini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 played minutes Materazzinter F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Liaci. Dario Valeri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Emanuele Bozzo made a huge save. Emanuele Bozzo was a little too slow when Bianco Marini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-3. Bianco Marini let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 68th minute shot 0-4 at rihgt post. When Fedele Grieco fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bologna FC's protests and gave Fedele Grieco a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Bologna FC got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Grieco. 78 minutes into the match, Daniele Scurti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Di Ruscio. Bologna FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniele Scurti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 87th minute Bianco Marini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuele Bozzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Materazzinter F.C. booed when Bologna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Reali didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Daniele Scurti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Materazzinter F.C.'s goalkeeper Emanuele Bozzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Reali. The Materazzinter F.C. manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Bologna FC to win.
