An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise Di Girolamo in the 29th minute of play forced Monte Livata's goalkeeper Edmondo Castelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmondo Castelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Aceto, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After some careless play in the Monte Livata defense, Daniele Aceto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmondo Castelli. The Monte Livata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmondo Castelli should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Acquaviva AFC's zone, Edoardo Ricci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Pietrini came out of the goal and Edoardo Ricci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Edmondo Castelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Aceto in the 54th minute of play. Bruno Tozzi struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Angelo Pietrini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monte Livata. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Monte Livata players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
