Ciro Gallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Santoro in the 24th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Emanuele Di Monte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torrione Cerquetta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuele Di Monte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Gallo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aldo Di Fonzo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arrigo Imperatore in the 51st minute of play forced Torrione Cerquetta FC's goalkeeper Ercole De Iuliis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Arrigo Imperatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole De Iuliis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Demetrio Piola fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torrione Cerquetta FC's protests and gave Demetrio Piola a yellow card for diving instead. The goalkeeper, Ciro Gallo, was totally fooled by Torrione Cerquetta FC's Demetrio Bonsignore, who 69 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amedeo Santoro got free with Ciro Gallo in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Torrione Cerquetta FC's Augusto Di Berardino got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Ciro Gallo came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Torrione Cerquetta FC's Amedeo Santoro. But to his dismay, Amedeo Santoro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. If Amedeo Santoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute.
