The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alberigo Colonna made the kick off in the second half. If Alvaro Lepori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. After 76 minutes of play, Merlo F.C.'s Alberigo Colonna made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florian Valerio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alvaro Lepori kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Eraldo Eboli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 85 minutes, Alberigo Colonna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merlo F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberigo Colonna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Camillo Campana managed to get in a good position for a shot. FBC Ciolemorte 1908's supporters rose to their feet, but Camillo Campana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amerigo Paolini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Merlo F.C.'s Alberigo Colonna got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Lepori in the 98th minute of play forced FBC Ciolemorte 1908's goalkeeper Florian Valerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merlo F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FBC Ciolemorte 1908 for a fine match.
