Federico Pellegrini hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Anthony Mazzone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. OMISSAM booed when Luminasio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carter Rapone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Biagio Di Gennaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anthony Mazzone to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosimo Di Franco in the 52nd minute of play forced Luminasio's goalkeeper Fausto Piccioli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Biagio Di Gennaro in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Piccioli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 63 played minutes Luminasio got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Michelini. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Michelini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfredo Santone. That made the score 0-1 in the 66 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Luminasio's Alberto Michelini got a free kick in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Luminasio's Anthony Mazzone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Santone narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
