Alberto Sammartano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Alberto Sammartano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute, Franco Larizza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th match minute, Olimpic Modena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulvio Mosca to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Sammartano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Maietta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Olimpic Modena's Andrea Porcu got a free kick in the 21st minute. Alberto Sammartano might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Maietta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Sammartano ran back to his position shaking his head. Felice Cassone's late challenge caught a Gassino Torinese's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felice Cassone helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Olimpic Modena:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gassino Torinese:s goal. Olimpic Modena's Fausto Maietta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Larizza in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Franco Larizza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fausto Maietta, 1-0. Carter Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmondo Sciamanna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Nazzaro's late challenge caught a Olimpic Modena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Olimpic Modena's zone, Alberto Sammartano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Maietta came out of the goal and Alberto Sammartano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Sammartano took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Maietta. Fausto Maietta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franco Larizza made a kick off. 65 minutes into the match, Gassino Torinese's goalkeeper Carter Zoff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmondo Sciamanna. Fausto Maietta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Larizza in the 76th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Alberto Sammartano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Maietta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gassino Torinese's Alberto Sammartano in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olimpic Modena's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franco Larizza in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Maietta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Franco Larizza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gassino Torinese's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
