Squirteam's Domenico Marziali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Violento in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Cannata in the 10th minute of play forced Real Roma's goalkeeper Elia Morelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Real Roma's goalkeeper Elia Morelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Cesarini. In the 16th minute, Dave Violento made a precise shot to the right of Domenico Marziali. Squirteam's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Domenico Marziali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Trinca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emiliano Betti's late challenge caught a Real Roma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emiliano Betti helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Squirteam getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Emiliano Betti hit a great ball. Domenico Marziali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Violento, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Squirteam's Andrea Rainaldi got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Corrado Scarano fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Squirteam's protests and gave Corrado Scarano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Real Roma booed when Squirteam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corrado Scarano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domenico Marziali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Ansoldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Ansoldi in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domenico Marziali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fausto Cesarini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Elia Morelli made a huge save. Domenico Marziali came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Real Roma's Dave Violento. But to his dismay, Dave Violento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 44 minutes, Concetto Pietropaolo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Roma and the Squirteam players grew even worse after the yellow card. Concetto Pietropaolo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When Fausto Cesarini came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Squirteam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Cesarini couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Cannata in the 47th minute of play forced Real Roma's goalkeeper Elia Morelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Comunardo Marongiu charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Comunardo Marongiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dave Violento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Domenico Marziali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Bruno Cannata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Squirteam's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Cannata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elia Morelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franco Trinca charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franco Trinca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, Franco Trinca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fausto Cesarini scored 2-3 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elia Morelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elia Morelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Cannata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Domenico Marziali managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Real Roma's Angelo Ansoldi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 69th minute, Bruno Cannata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elia Morelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Cannata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Ansoldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 minutes of play Squirteam's Comunardo Marongiu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 74 played minutes Squirteam got a freekick which was hit by Comunardo Marongiu. 84 minutes into the match, Squirteam's goalkeeper Domenico Marziali had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Ansoldi. Fausto Cesarini struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Elia Morelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Squirteam. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Roma walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
