Stella San Martino FC's Davide Caneva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Oroni in the 23rd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Pozzi AFC's Achille Addari nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Davide Caneva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 59 minutes, Cristiano Guarisi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stella San Martino FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Guarisi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Concetto Oroni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Davide Caneva made a huge save. After some careless play in the Pozzi AFC defense, Cristiano Guarisi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alessandro Vieri. The Pozzi AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alessandro Vieri should have stopped the shot. Concetto Oroni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Davide Caneva made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, Stella San Martino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Achille Addari came free, but Davide Caneva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Cristiano Guarisi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
