An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Marcolongo in the 6th minute of play forced Pozzi AFC's goalkeeper Alessandro Vieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Pozzi AFC's Concetto Oroni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armando Manzoli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 19th match minute, Pozzi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Apolloni to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Pozzi AFC defense, Christian Forlano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alessandro Vieri. The Pozzi AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alessandro Vieri should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute, Christian Forlano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alvaro Graziano kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A hard shot 34 in the game by Achille Addari from a close distance when the talented Armando Manzoli managed to make a qualified save. AC Serpenti's players were relieved. If Concetto Oroni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Concetto Oroni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Manzoli having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Achille Addari was the one to do the kick off. The AC Serpenti fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when AC Serpenti's Armando Marcolongo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlo Rulli helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Achille Addari ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Manzoli was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Oroni in the 82nd minute of play forced AC Serpenti's goalkeeper Armando Manzoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Manzoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Oroni, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th match minute, AC Serpenti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Graziano to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Pozzi AFC's Achille Addari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Manzoli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 86 minutes, Concetto Oroni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pozzi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Concetto Oroni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Achille Addari had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armando Manzoli. AC Serpenti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Achille Addari was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.
