Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Atlantis FC's Domenico Mazzini started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Atlantis FC's Fabiano Fiorentino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Addari in the 3rd minute of play. Domenico Mazzini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessandro Vieri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domenico Mazzini's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Concetto Oroni kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabiano Fiorentino. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Ciro Florio's late challenge caught a Pozzi AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Florio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Atlantis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Florio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 22 minutes, Achille Addari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pozzi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Achille Addari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciccio Bassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Vieri having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atlantis FC's Cosimo Di Michele got a free kick in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Achille Addari cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Fabiano Fiorentino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pozzi AFC's Alessandro Vieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Mazzini in the 35th minute of play. Alessandro Vieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciccio Bassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Atlantis FC's Alessio Goffredo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Domenico Mazzini came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Atlantis FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenico Mazzini couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Achille Addari was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Atlantis FC's Camillo Cagnetta got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Achille Addari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Fiorentino having to interfere. The supporters of Pozzi AFC booed when Atlantis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ennio Sciarretta didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ciccio Bassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Fiorentino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Apolloni in the 64th minute of the match. Alessandro Vieri had great luck who in the 69thth minute grab hold of the ball when Domenico Mazzini from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 75 minutes into the match, Atlantis FC's Domenico Mazzini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessandro Vieri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Achille Addari took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabiano Fiorentino. Fabiano Fiorentino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Camillo Cagnetta fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlantis FC's protests and gave Camillo Cagnetta a yellow card for diving instead. Carmine Bernardi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pozzi AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlantis FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
