The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Sessarego AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Frabetti came free, but Alvise Bruno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Sessarego AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Ferrario came free, but Alvise Bruno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Arturo Talamo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sgonico's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Talamo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvise Bruno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Ciro Ferrario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlo Frabetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Bruno having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Ferrario in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvise Bruno saved Sessarego AFC from getting behind. Carlo Frabetti struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Alvise Bruno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sgonico. If Ciro Ferrario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 18 minutes, Carter Imperatrice mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sessarego AFC and the Sgonico players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sessarego AFC's Carter Imperatrice got a free kick in the 18th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Ciro Ferrario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sgonico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Ferrario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Carlo Frabetti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sgonico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sgonico's Ciro Ferrario got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Ferrario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Bruno having to interfere. Carlo Frabetti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ciro Ferrario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvise Bruno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlo Frabetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Sgonico's zone, Carter Imperatrice stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciccio Colangelo came out of the goal and Carter Imperatrice tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciro Ferrario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Bruno having to interfere.
After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Cristiano Staniscia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sessarego AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Staniscia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciccio Colangelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvise Bruno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Ferrario, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, Sessarego AFC's Fabrizio Micucci got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute Eraldo Panico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciccio Colangelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Sgonico getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Arturo Talamo hit a great ball. Cristiano Staniscia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alvise Bruno came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Sgonico's Carlo Frabetti. But to his dismay, Carlo Frabetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Alvise Bruno didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Sessarego AFC's Alvise Bruno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Ferrario in the 76th minute of play. Carlo Frabetti's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alvise Bruno firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Sessarego AFC's zone, Ciro Ferrario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvise Bruno came out of the goal and Ciro Ferrario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlo Frabetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Alvise Bruno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Carlo Frabetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Sgonico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sessarego AFC throughout the match.
