Alfonso Profeta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Rozarius went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the match, Atletico Roma's Sever Ceausu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Profeta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sever Ceausu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alfonso Profeta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Sever Ceausu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Alfonso Profeta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alfonso Profeta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sever Ceausu in the 29th minute. Alfonso Profeta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Rozarius's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Atletico Roma's Sever Ceausu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Profeta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sever Ceausu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Jonathan Rozarius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Roma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Rozarius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Rozarius to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Marzana got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Bomba. After a defensive mix-up in Marzana's zone, Sever Ceausu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Profeta came out of the goal and Sever Ceausu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the game, Atletico Roma's Jonathan Rozarius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Profeta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Camillo Guerrini's late challenge caught a Marzana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camillo Guerrini helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Atletico Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camillo Guerrini to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 67 minutes into the game, when Vintila Soare put in a rough tackle. Jonathan Rozarius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Atletico Roma's Sever Ceausu got a free kick in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Roma's zone, Dennis Laudadio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrico Bruno came out of the goal and Dennis Laudadio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atletico Roma's Enrico Bruno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Atletico Roma from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the match, Atletico Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Di Pasquale came free, but Enrico Bruno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonso Profeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Rozarius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atletico Roma's Camillo Guerrini quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emilio De Filippo, made in the 95th minute of the game. Alfonso Profeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Rozarius in the 96th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Camillo Guerrini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Roma's supporters rose to their feet, but Camillo Guerrini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Profeta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
