The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Achille Piermattei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Davide Quadrini hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Achille Piermattei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Costa having to interfere. Rebbio FC's Florian Ingegno got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Rovere's Fabiano Martini got control of the ball when Florian Ingegno tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Rovere's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Di Rocco came free, but Fabiano Martini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Anthony Di Rocco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabiano Martini was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 21st minute, Florian Ingegno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Lavatrice recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes in the game, Florian Ingegno fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fabiano Martini having to interfere. Florian Ingegno struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Fabiano Martini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rebbio FC. Florian Ingegno's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Fabiano Martini skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alexander Lavatrice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camillo Cilli hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The supporters of Rovere booed when Rebbio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camillo Cilli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Alexander Lavatrice ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Florian Ingegno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Lavatrice's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Rebbio FC's Fulvio Caccavale got a free kick in the 60th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Rovere's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Di Rocco came free, but Fabiano Martini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano Martini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Di Rocco, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armin Ferrario during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anthony Di Rocco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Martini having to interfere. Fabiano Martini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Ingegno, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Anthony Di Rocco took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabiano Martini. Fabiano Martini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
