Adriano Ottaviani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beppe Speranza in the 52nd minute of the match. If Bruno Senatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Cesare Oberrauch in the 60th minute really tested Alessandro Pascali's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beppe Speranza couldn't finish the play. Alex Iacovella's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alessandro Pascali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Gorizia's Alex Iacovella nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alessandro Pascali made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
