The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Oberrauch got free with Carlo Cruciani in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, Olme's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Stragapede came free, but Fedele Forte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenico Tacconelli couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
