But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrea Di Massa couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Beppe Cellucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. ALCOOL TBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beppe Cellucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
In the 53rd minute of the match Cantone FC got a corner. F.C. ALCOOL TBC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bianco Ceresoli ran over to the corner to take the kick. 55 minutes into the game, Andrea Di Massa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alfonso Forte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Cantone FC's Attilio Bartolomucci got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Biagio Bianco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beppe Cellucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Alfonso Forte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Attilio Bartolomucci sped through F.C. ALCOOL TBC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fausto Odol. After a defensive mix-up in Cantone FC's zone, Beppe Cellucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Forte came out of the goal and Beppe Cellucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camillo Gelsomini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Forte having to interfere. Alfonso Forte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinando Grossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Beppe Cellucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alfonso Forte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cantone FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Fabiano Marongiu hit a great ball. Cantone FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though F.C. ALCOOL TBC had controlled the match.
