Fabiano Pasquale started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Enzo Di Virgilio made a precise shot to the right of Anselmo Rallo. The shot was a little too simple and Armando Barbanti could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in A.C. VERROCCHIO's zone, Enrico Frasca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Barbanti came out of the goal and Enrico Frasca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ettore De Cesaris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Di Virgilio in the 28th minute of play forced Ospedaletto's goalkeeper Anselmo Rallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabiano Pasquale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Armando Barbanti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Ettore De Cesaris made a precise shot to the right of Anselmo Rallo. Ospedaletto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Armando Barbanti made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Enrico Frasca sent off a good shot on target. Fabiano Pasquale might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Barbanti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabiano Pasquale ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

A collision led to A.C. VERROCCHIO getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Fabrizio Rozzi hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, A.C. VERROCCHIO's goal looked a bit too open when Enrico Frasca came free, but Armando Barbanti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, A.C. Anselmo Rallo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anselmo Rallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Di Virgilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabiano Pasquale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 minutes, Ferdinando Pace mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ospedaletto and the A.C. VERROCCHIO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Ospedaletto got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinando Pace. A.C. VERROCCHIO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Corrado Pietropaolo in the 83rd minute. After taking down the ball on A.C. VERROCCHIO's corner Corrado Pietropaolo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anselmo Rallo quite easily take care of the ball. In the 84th minute, Enzo Di Virgilio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enrico Frasca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Barbanti having to make a save. Armando Barbanti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Frasca in the 91st minute of play. If Enrico Frasca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. A.C. VERROCCHIO had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
