Fausto Boldrini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Mazzocchi having to interfere. If Donato Santalucia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, le aquile Imperiali's Achille Caporale got a free kick in the 18th minute. Alex Mazzocchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Boldrini in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Certenoli FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Aldo Tammaro hit a great ball. After 25 minutes, Donato Santalucia made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. le aquile Imperiali's Alex Mazzocchi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Felice Morini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Masci, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Fausto Boldrini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Mazzocchi having to interfere. Felice Morini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Masci in the 42nd minute of play. Demetrio Muzi hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 45 minutes, Aldo Tammaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Certenoli FC and the le aquile Imperiali players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes Certenoli FC got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Tammaro. Felice Morini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Masci in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Boldrini was the one to do the kick off. Amedeo Calas short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Felice Morini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Boldrini in the 58th minute of play forced le aquile Imperiali's goalkeeper Alex Mazzocchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felice Morini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Masci in the 60th minute of play. Alex Mazzocchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Santalucia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th match minute, le aquile Imperiali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achille Caporale to maneuver through the defense. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, le aquile Imperiali's Alexander Masci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felice Morini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alex Mazzocchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Santalucia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, le aquile Imperiali's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Boldrini came free, but Alex Mazzocchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Fausto Boldrini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Mazzocchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Alexander Masci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Masci in the 94th minute of play forced Certenoli FC's goalkeeper Felice Morini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the le aquile Imperiali players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
