Amerigo Furino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Melone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Ferdinando Esposito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Alessio Melone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Furino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elia Mussi in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniele Contestabile saved Cusano Milanino FC from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elia Mussi to make the kick off. Dennis Galante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniele Contestabile having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Cusano Milanino FC's Alessio Melone dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Daniele Contestabile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Mussi in the 66th minute of play. Alessio Melone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Amerigo Furino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Demetrio Cino was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Cusano Milanino FC booed when Valle Benedetta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demetrio Cino didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Galante in the 76th minute of play forced Cusano Milanino FC's goalkeeper Daniele Contestabile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valle Benedetta FC's Amerigo Furino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Morandin in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Cusano Milanino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Galante came free, but Daniele Contestabile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessio Melone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Amerigo Furino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute of the match, Ernesto Navarra got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amerigo Furino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Cusano Milanino FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Valle Benedetta FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
