Demetrio Collovati might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Donati. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Demetrio Collovati ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute, Anthony Monzeglio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Demetrio Collovati came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Visciano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Demetrio Collovati couldn't finish the play. After having played for 27 minutes, Diego Mosca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Visciano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Mosca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Donati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Mosca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Donati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio Collovati in the 32nd minute of the match. Demetrio Collovati struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Frank Donati didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Visciano FC. The supporters of Visciano FC booed when Novellara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Ruggieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Diego Mosca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Concetto Guarisi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Di Prinzio having to interfere. If Carter Cannone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute, Demetrio Collovati got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Carter Cannone made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Carter Cannone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novellara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carter Cannone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Concetto Guarisi in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Di Prinzio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 played minutes Visciano FC got a freekick which was hit by Domenico Donato. In the 61st minute, Concetto Guarisi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alvaro Di Prinzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carter Cannone in the 62nd minute of play. If Demetrio Collovati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Visciano FC's Ernesto Verna got a free kick in the 71st minute. Carter Cannone might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Di Prinzio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Novellara FC's Frank Donati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Mosca in the 80th minute of play. Diego Mosca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Donati having to interfere. Diego Mosca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Demetrio Collovati came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Visciano FC fans jumped to their feet. The Novellara FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Visciano FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
