Cristoforo Melis scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aldo Giardino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in STEAU BUCAREST's zone, Cristoforo Melis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Giardino came out of the goal and Cristoforo Melis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casale Sul Sile FC's Ernesto Palermo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Casale Sul Sile FC from getting a goal against them. Ernesto Palermo was a little too slow when Fausto Marongiu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Armando Biancone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, STEAU BUCAREST's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Biancone came free, but Aldo Giardino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Giardino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Biancone in the 26th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Cristoforo Melis put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Aldo Giardino. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristoforo Melis in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Giardino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A nice corner shot did that Dennis Cericola got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aldo Giardino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The STEAU BUCAREST players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Casale Sul Sile FC were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Cristoforo Melis made the kick off in the second half. Armando Biancone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Aldo Giardino made a huge save. Cristoforo Melis charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristoforo Melis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Casale Sul Sile FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristoforo Melis. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bianco Di Marco in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Palermo saved Casale Sul Sile FC from getting behind. Alexander Rossetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. STEAU BUCAREST's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Biancone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Casale Sul Sile FC's Ernesto Palermo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Marongiu in the 85th minute of play. Ernesto Palermo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bianco Di Marco in the 86th minute of play. Fausto Marongiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th match minute, Casale Sul Sile FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Rossetti to maneuver through the defense.
