Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Demetrio Del Bello kicked off to start the match. Fortunato Belfiore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 7 minutes into the game, one of Philadelphia Union:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as Philadelphia Union's Fortunato Belfiore slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enzo Molinario. That made the score 1-1 after 12 minutes of play. In the 16th minute, Edmondo Bottaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cittadella's Alessandro Franco couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Philadelphia Union. Fabrizio Margoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fedele Di Giacomo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Philadelphia Union was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedele Grilli to maneuver through the defense. If Damiano Talone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Belfiore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Enzo Molinario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Cittadella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Franco to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Philadelphia Union's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrizio Margoni came free, but Fedele Di Giacomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fortunato Belfiore was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Dino Arcangeli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cittadella's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Philadelphia Union the free kick. Dino Arcangeli kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Fedele Di Giacomo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio Del Bello in the 55th minute of the match. Fortunato Belfiore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enzo Molinario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Fabrizio Margoni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Demetrio Del Bello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Di Giacomo having to interfere. In the 91st play minute Fabrizio Margoni came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fedele Di Giacomo. 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
