Dino Gaspari walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Dino Gaspari kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Concetto Di Mascio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arturo Limitone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Concetto Di Mascio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to A.S Slipknot getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Armin Latini hit a great ball. Fortunato Santucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Concetto Di Mascio in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Coste FC's zone, Diego Polito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Santucci came out of the goal and Diego Polito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Concetto Di Mascio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. A.S Slipknot's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 39 minutes, Arturo Limitone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coste FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Limitone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Concetto Raffa's late challenge caught a Coste FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Concetto Raffa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Concetto Raffa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristiano Costacurta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Limitone, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute, Diego Polito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Coste FC's goalkeeper Fortunato Santucci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Concetto Di Mascio. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franco Ubriaco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alvise Brunelli charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvise Brunelli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristiano Costacurta came out of the goal and Franco Ubriaco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Coste FC's Fortunato Santucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Polito in the 76th minute of play. Arturo Limitone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Cristiano Costacurta made a huge save. Diego Polito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Santucci having to interfere. When Diego Egger fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coste FC's protests and gave Diego Egger a yellow card for diving instead. Diego Egger kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Concetto Di Mascio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fortunato Santucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Polito in the 85th minute of play. If Arturo Limitone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes, Franco Marzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.S Slipknot and the Coste FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to A.S Slipknot getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. In the 97th match minute, A.S Slipknot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise Brunelli to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
