In the 16th minute Amerigo Di Toma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciccio Ceccarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes, Amerigo Di Toma made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Morello's Ciccio Ceccarelli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Beppe Di Meo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Firmiano FC's Amerigo Di Toma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciccio Ceccarelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amerigo Di Toma scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciccio Ceccarelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 38 minutes into the game, Dennis Bozzo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Firmiano FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morello the free kick. After a rather tough play, Firmiano FC's Dennis Bozzo got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 42ndth minute of the game Edoardo Evangelista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Firmiano FC's Comunardo Pietrini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Morello's Aldo Paglione got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 46 minutes, Fortunato Di Nucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Firmiano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fortunato Di Nucci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amerigo Di Toma was the one to do the kick off. Beppe Di Meo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 54 played minutes, Morello's Anfilogino Antenucci shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Comunardo Pietrini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Morello reached it. A collision led to Morello getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Filippo Lombardi hit a great ball. Daniele Paganelli charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniele Paganelli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Fortunato Di Nucci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Firmiano FC's Dennis Bozzo got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Paglione in the 74th minute of play forced Firmiano FC's goalkeeper Comunardo Pietrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 played minutes Morello got a freekick which was hit by Daniele Paganelli. Dennis Bozzo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Fortunato Di Nucci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Beppe Di Meo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ciccio Ceccarelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute, Aldo Paglione made a precise shot to the right of Comunardo Pietrini. Firmiano FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Firmiano FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
