An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Tedeschi in the 4th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Diego Carbonaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th match minute, Lumellogno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Pinti to maneuver through the defense. If Anfilogino Pollastrini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lumellogno's Ciro Pinti got a free kick in the 11th minute. With 17 minutes on the clock, Domenico Totaro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lumellogno fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Liverpool FC a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Achille Pugliese, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lumellogno's Beppe Arcari. 1-0. Ettore Festuccia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Carbonaro having to interfere. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ettore Festuccia sped through Liverpool FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diego Carbonaro. Diego Carbonaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Festuccia in the 30th minute of play. Alfonso Citrullo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Beppe Arcari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ettore Festuccia made a kick off. Bruno Colelli struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Diego Carbonaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lumellogno. Diego Carbonaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Pinti, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Alfonso Citrullo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lumellogno's Ettore Festuccia got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ettore Festuccia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diego Carbonaro having to make a save. The Lumellogno fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Lumellogno's Ettore Festuccia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lumellogno's goalkeeper Beppe Arcari, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alfonso Citrullo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beppe Arcari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Citrullo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lumellogno walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
