When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Christian Masetti took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Emiliano Negrini to make any attempt to save it. In the 24th match minute, Meianiga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Simonetti to maneuver through the defense. Christian Masetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Negrini having to interfere. Ciro Ronconi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Fabrizio Mori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Meianiga's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Masetti came free, but Emiliano Negrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Flavio Marinetti came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Nichelino AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Marinetti couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Piccirilli to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Masetti in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Negrini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Andrea Carosella fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nichelino AFC's protests and gave Andrea Carosella a yellow card for diving instead. Andrea Carosella hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Marinetti in the 73rd minute of play forced Meianiga's goalkeeper Emiliano Negrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. One of Meianiga:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nichelino AFC:s goal. In the 94th minute, Flavio Marinetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavio Marinetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arturo Longo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
