The Busovecchio AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Vida should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Busovecchio AFC's zone, Alvise Liberati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Vida came out of the goal and Alvise Liberati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 42 minutes of play, Stradella AFC's Alvise Liberati made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Vida was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Stradella AFC's Dennis Alfonsi got a free kick in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Corrado Villa to make the kick off. If Corrado Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 53 played minutes Stradella AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Pelati. Antonio Palma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvise Caponera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Dario Marini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Busovecchio AFC were furious when Emanuele Combi was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Busovecchio AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! In the 65th minute, Christian Ottavi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvise Liberati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Vida having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Busovecchio AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesare Pascali to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 86 in the game by Alvise Liberati from a close distance when the talented Franco Vida managed to make a qualified save. Busovecchio AFC's players were relieved.
