Gasparini di Roma's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Antonio Palma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Tosi having to interfere. When Emiliano Sartori fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gasparini di Roma's protests and gave Emiliano Sartori a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Busovecchio AFC booed when Gasparini di Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Sartori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domenico Tosi came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Busovecchio AFC's Antonio Palma. But to his dismay, Antonio Palma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Cosimo Di Biagio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Franco Vida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emiliano Sartori went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Corrado Villa was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gasparini di Roma's Eugenio Fino got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corrado Villa in the 53rd minute of play forced Gasparini di Roma's goalkeeper Domenico Tosi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
