Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ernesto Pedroni started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute, Edmondo Iori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francesco Travaglini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciccio Valeriani in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, A. C. Taranto Lions's Corrado Sciarretta got control of the ball when Demetrio Di Florio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Demetrio Di Florio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corrado Sciarretta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Corrado Sciarretta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Pedroni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Ernesto Pedroni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Demetrio Di Florio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corrado Sciarretta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Ernesto Pedroni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forlimpopoli FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Pedroni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernesto Pedroni might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corrado Sciarretta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Pedroni ran back to his position shaking his head. A. C. Taranto Lions's Corrado Sciarretta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save A. C. Taranto Lions from getting a goal against them. If Ernesto Pedroni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Edmondo Iori fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A. C. Taranto Lions's protests and gave Edmondo Iori a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Forlimpopoli FC booed when A. C. Taranto Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Belfiore didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciccio Valeriani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciccio Valeriani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Francesco Travaglini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Forlimpopoli FC's Ernesto Pedroni got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernesto Pedroni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corrado Sciarretta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Corrado Sciarretta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Pedroni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demetrio Di Florio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Corrado Sciarretta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciccio Valeriani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Travaglini having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciccio Valeriani in the 70th minute of play forced Forlimpopoli FC's goalkeeper Francesco Travaglini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Ciccio Valeriani managed to get in a good position for a shot. A. C. Taranto Lions's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciccio Valeriani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francesco Travaglini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciccio Valeriani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Forlimpopoli FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edmondo Iori fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 82nd minute Ciccio Valeriani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Travaglini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Pedroni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The A. C. Taranto Lions players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
