The supporters of Fizzonasco AFC booed when Scaltenigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo De Bettin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea Marchegiani in the 17th minute of play forced Scaltenigo's goalkeeper Aurelio Damiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Angelo Ruscitti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felice Del Nero was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Angelo Ruscitti took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felice Del Nero. Felice Del Nero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Ruscitti to make the kick off. Andrea Marchegiani struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute, one of Fizzonasco AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fizzonasco AFC. When Edmondo De Bettin fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scaltenigo's protests and gave Edmondo De Bettin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th match minute, Scaltenigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo De Bettin to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Fizzonasco AFC's Anselmo Catini tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Felice Bonelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fizzonasco AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Scaltenigo.
