After 10 minutes, Alberigo Di Camillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fiumana and the Tor Tre Ponti FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute of the game, Tor Tre Ponti FC got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. Claudio Rondinelli succeeded in the game's 14th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Alvise Pili got his second yellow card in the match during the 45th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 46th match minute, Fiumana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise Pili to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Fiumana booed when Tor Tre Ponti FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Rondinelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Rondinelli to make the kick off. Demetrio Madonna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Di Clemente having to make a save. Alberto Di Clemente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrea Bizzarri in the 55th minute. Claudio Rondinelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Antonello Zoccolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Demetrio Madonna came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Fiumana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Demetrio Madonna couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute, Claudio Rondinelli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tor Tre Ponti FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
