Carlo Africano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noventa Padovana's Edmondo De Felice proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Noventa Padovana from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the match, Carlo Africano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmondo De Felice. Noventa Padovana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlo Africano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Carlo Africano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, Ciro Di Sipio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Noventa Padovana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Candia the free kick. The supporters of Candia booed when Noventa Padovana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Di Sipio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Bernardo Barberio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fabrizio De Michele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Alberigo Picozzi made a precise shot to the right of Andrea Formica. Candia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. A hard shot 47 in the game by Carlo Africano from a close distance when the talented Edmondo De Felice managed to make a qualified save. Noventa Padovana's players were relieved.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberigo Picozzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Noventa Padovana's Fabrizio De Michele ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andrea Formica. Andrea Formica yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Alessio Minicucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candia's supporters rose to their feet, but Alessio Minicucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmondo De Felice breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alessio Minicucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Edmondo De Felice tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arrigo Di Carlo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Carlo Causio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Noventa Padovana's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlo Causio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrea Formica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute of the match, Alberigo Picozzi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Andrea Formica saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Biagio Maccioni hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrizio De Michele got free with Andrea Formica in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrea Formica was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Alberigo Picozzi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alberigo Picozzi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Edmondo De Felice took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Minicucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Noventa Padovana had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
