Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amedeo Polimeno started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Amedeo Polimeno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salice Cálabro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 9th minute, Fabiano Carlucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 10 minutes, Amedeo Polimeno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salice Cálabro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amedeo Polimeno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Candia's zone, Arturo Falcioni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Formica came out of the goal and Arturo Falcioni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Amedeo Polimeno got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 18th minute, Carlo Africano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Di Gennaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Carlo Africano struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Bernardo Di Gennaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candia. Carlo Africano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Di Gennaro having to interfere. Augusto Tiberio kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Falcioni got free with Andrea Formica in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Minicucci in the 39th minute of play forced Salice Cálabro's goalkeeper Bernardo Di Gennaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Alessio Minicucci made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Candia's zone, Amedeo Polimeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Formica came out of the goal and Amedeo Polimeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Salice Cálabro's Arturo Falcioni got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 58 minutes, Comunardo Canuto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salice Cálabro and the Candia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Salice Cálabro got a freekick which was hit by Comunardo Canuto. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Candia's goalkeeper Andrea Formica, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Arturo Falcioni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrea Formica was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. If Arturo Falcioni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Salice Cálabro's Amedeo Polimeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrea Formica narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amedeo Polimeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Amedeo Polimeno notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Candia's Andrea Formica. Andrea Formica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Salice Cálabro players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
