Camillo Pala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Budrio's goalkeeper Alessandro Cirigliano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enzo Barberio got free with Cesare Chioda in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute of the match Dino Pelati shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alessandro Cirigliano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Alvaro Marulli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Furie Rosse fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, Furie Rosse's Dino Pelati got a free kick in the 35th minute. Furie Rosse's Cesare Chioda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Furie Rosse from getting a goal against them. Franco Vieri kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Cesare Chioda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enzo Barberio in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Budrio's zone, Alvaro Marulli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Cirigliano came out of the goal and Alvaro Marulli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Budrio's Alessandro Cirigliano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Marulli in the 45th minute of play. Alvaro Marulli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alessandro Cirigliano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Furie Rosse were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvaro Marulli to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Furie Rosse booed when Budrio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Concetto Pagliuca didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Corrado Piccone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Giampietro during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Budrio's Alessandro Giampietro got a free kick in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camillo Pala got free with Alessandro Cirigliano in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camillo Pala who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Alessandro Cirigliano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 66 minutes, Enzo Barberio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Budrio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enzo Barberio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The long shot by Alessio Orlandi in the 75th minute really tested Alessandro Cirigliano's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Budrio's Alessandro Cirigliano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Marulli in the 76th minute of play. Alvaro Marulli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Cirigliano having to interfere. When Alvaro Marulli came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Furie Rosse fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Marulli couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Budrio getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Corrado Piccone hit a great ball. Budrio's Alessandro Cirigliano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Budrio from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Arrigo Di Nino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Budrio's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Marulli came free, but Alessandro Cirigliano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Budrio's Alessandro Cirigliano got control of the ball when Camillo Pala tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Budrio supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Furie Rosse's performance. The match ended with a win for Furie Rosse.
