Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) S.S.C.Napoli's Dennis Schirru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes S.S.C.Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Beppe Vieri. Eraldo Ursini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Finocchio having to interfere. With his leg Ernesto Finocchio managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Termosteccone FC's Damiano Pizziolo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adriano Fabrizi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Schirru, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Dennis Schirru might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adriano Fabrizi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dennis Schirru ran back to his position shaking his head. 26 minutes into the match, Dennis Schirru notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Termosteccone FC's Adriano Fabrizi. Adriano Fabrizi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Termosteccone FC defense, Edoardo Porcu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adriano Fabrizi. The Termosteccone FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adriano Fabrizi should have stopped the shot. The attack was good, but when Eraldo Ursini in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 36th match minute, S.S.C.Napoli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camillo Oberrauch to maneuver through the defense. Termosteccone FC's Adriano Fabrizi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Porcu in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eraldo Ursini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Termosteccone FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Schirru came free, but Adriano Fabrizi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Termosteccone FC's zone, Dennis Schirru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Fabrizi came out of the goal and Dennis Schirru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damiano Pizziolo might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Finocchio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damiano Pizziolo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 60th minute, Termosteccone FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edoardo Porcu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Termosteccone FC's zone, Dennis Schirru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Fabrizi came out of the goal and Dennis Schirru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eraldo Ursini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Damiano Pizziolo came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Termosteccone FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damiano Pizziolo couldn't finish the play. Beppe Vieri hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When S.S.C.Napoli's Dennis Schirru in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Termosteccone FC's goalie prevented a goal.
