Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio De Filippo in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Piccone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ferdinando Palma fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polanesi FC's protests and gave Ferdinando Palma a yellow card for diving instead. Franco Piccone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Scibilia in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute FBC Venezia were awarded a corner. Domenico De Amicis went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Polanesi FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Concetto Scarano hit a great ball. Aurelio De Filippo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 minutes of play Polanesi FC's Augusto Proietti was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabio Scibilia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Polanesi FC's Alfredo Sammartino got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Concetto Scarano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Carter Basilico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franco Piccone made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Aurelio De Filippo sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of FBC Venezia booed when Polanesi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Sammartino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domenico De Amicis, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 65 played minutes Polanesi FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Schirone. If Concetto Scarano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Concetto Scarano in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carter Basilico saved FBC Venezia from getting behind. Fabio Scibilia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
