Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Armin Chioda made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Beppe Anelli notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Santa Lucia's Ferruccio Cerrone. Ferruccio Cerrone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corrado Attili in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferruccio Cerrone saved Santa Lucia from getting behind. In the 14th minute, Santa Lucia's Carlo Di Vito ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fortunato Tornese. Fortunato Tornese yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Alessio Santalucia kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Rupingrande's Fortunato Tornese proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Rupingrande from getting a goal against them. Armin Chioda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fortunato Tornese having to make a save. Beppe Firmani's late challenge caught a Santa Lucia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beppe Firmani helped the player get up and apologised. Beppe Firmani hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Corrado Attili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Lucia's zone, Beppe Pensa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferruccio Cerrone came out of the goal and Beppe Pensa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fortunato Tornese made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlo Chizzo in the 38th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Rupingrande:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Santa Lucia:s goal. Beppe Firmani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ferruccio Cerrone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beppe Pensa to make the kick off. Rupingrande's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aurelio Antognoni in the 54th minute. Aurelio Antognoni made a great header on Rupingrande's corner, it was just that Santa Lucia's Ferruccio Cerrone managed to reach the ball for a save. Santa Lucia's Ferruccio Cerrone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Santa Lucia from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute Armin Chioda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Tornese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alessandro Coco came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Rupingrande fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Coco couldn't finish the play. When Domenico Chiola fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Lucia's protests and gave Domenico Chiola a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Santa Lucia's Domenico Chiola got a free kick in the 78th minute. Carlo Di Vito charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlo Di Vito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Santa Lucia got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Di Vito. Santa Lucia's Ferruccio Cerrone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Santa Lucia from getting a goal against them. Armin Chioda struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Fortunato Tornese didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Lucia. Beppe Pensa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ferruccio Cerrone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santa Lucia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rupingrande had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
