A well-hit corner resulted in Amedeo Pellegrini heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 9 minutes into the match, Carpianello AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Dominici came free, but Fortunato Cassone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fortunato Cassone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bianco Puglielli, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Carpianello AFC defense, Bianco Puglielli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fortunato Cassone. The Carpianello AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fortunato Cassone should have stopped the shot. Emilio Dominici hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Cristoforo Tieri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Corrado Franzioni's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Emilio Dominici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carpianello AFC's Fortunato Cassone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Dominici in the 41st minute of play. Emilio Dominici recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Corrado Franzioni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpianello AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corrado Franzioni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Opera AFC defense, Alfonso Buonanno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristoforo Tieri. The Opera AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristoforo Tieri should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Fortunato Cassone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilio Dominici in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute Bianco Puglielli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Cassone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corrado Franzioni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfonso Buonanno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristoforo Tieri having to make a save. Corrado Franzioni struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Cristoforo Tieri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carpianello AFC.
