The supporters of Mandria FC booed when Bologna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anfilogino Antonelli didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When Ettore Panza fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bologna FC's protests and gave Ettore Panza a yellow card for diving instead. Eraldo Campoli took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciccio Tatangelo. Ciccio Tatangelo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Eraldo Campoli struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Ciccio Tatangelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bologna FC.
