The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernardo Longo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Mogliano Veneto FC's Alex Salvadore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Rozzi in the 14th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Antonio Rozzi notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mogliano Veneto FC's Alex Salvadore. Alex Salvadore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Antonio Rozzi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Alex Salvadore to make any attempt to save it. Filippo Schirone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Salvadore having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Mogliano Veneto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Rozzi came free, but Alex Salvadore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Antonio Rozzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Salvadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, Mogliano Veneto FC's Alberto Formica made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aldo Rocchetti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfonso Consalvi fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 43rd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Filippo Schirone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filippo Schirone in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Salvadore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 62 minutes, Filippo Schirone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crosara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filippo Schirone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Crosara booed when Mogliano Veneto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Consalvi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Rozzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Salvadore having to make a save. When Antonio Rozzi came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Crosara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Rozzi couldn't finish the play. Filippo Schirone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Salvadore having to interfere. Dino Villa's late challenge caught a Mogliano Veneto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dino Villa helped the player get up and apologised. Alfonso Consalvi kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Antonio Rozzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Salvadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Antonio Rozzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Alex Salvadore was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dino Villa hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Crosara fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mogliano Veneto FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
