In the 4th minute, Dennis De Filippo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Viconovo FC's Diego Landolfi got a free kick in the 14th minute. Augusto Carlini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Viconovo FC booed when Montorio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Barbato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Carlini in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amos Villani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 30 minutes, Fedele Di Fiore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viconovo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fedele Di Fiore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Viconovo FC's Federico Giordani got a free kick in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Ciccio Masetti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viconovo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciccio Masetti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Demetrio Garofoli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Montorio's Augusto Carlini got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciccio Masetti in the 48th minute of play forced Montorio's goalkeeper Demetrio Garofoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Carlini was the one to do the kick off.
