After a rather tough play, Filtro Football Club 2.0's Alessio Zuccarini got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Davide Bobbio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Simonetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davide Bobbio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franco Simonetti having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Mantini in the 34th minute of play forced Cerro Maggiore FC's goalkeeper Ferruccio Burgnich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Federico Ascoli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cerro Maggiore FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Filtro Football Club 2.0 the free kick. In the 36th match minute, Cerro Maggiore FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Ascoli to maneuver through the defense. Franco Simonetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Bobbio in the 38th minute of the match. Ferruccio Burgnich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Di Sante in the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Filtro Football Club 2.0's zone, Davide Bobbio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Davide Bobbio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerro Maggiore FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Davide Bobbio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Simonetti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute, Ennio Buccella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Buccella in the 70th minute of play forced Filtro Football Club 2.0's goalkeeper Franco Simonetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cerro Maggiore FC booed when Filtro Football Club 2.0 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Piccirilli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davide Bobbio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Simonetti having to interfere. Franco Simonetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Bobbio in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Filtro Football Club 2.0 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Piccirilli to maneuver through the defense. Filtro Football Club 2.0's Franco Simonetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Bobbio in the 84th minute of play. If Ennio Buccella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Simonetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Bobbio in the 87th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Cerro Maggiore FC's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Mantini came free, but Ferruccio Burgnich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Filtro Football Club 2.0 defense, Davide Bobbio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Simonetti. The Filtro Football Club 2.0 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Simonetti should have stopped the shot. Filtro Football Club 2.0's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
