Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ciccio De Zorzi started the match with the kick off. Alberigo Addario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ercole Mara's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. When Fabrizio Di Iulio came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Muggia AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrizio Di Iulio couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Attilio Picciano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ercole Mara might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberigo Addario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ercole Mara ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ercole Mara in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberigo Addario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fausto Pozzo during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Muggia AFC booed when Abano Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Pozzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciccio De Zorzi took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberigo Addario. Alberigo Addario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ciccio Bertoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attilio Picciano in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Attilio Picciano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abano Calcio's Ercole Mara got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabiano Lorefice hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 54 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Abano Calcio's Ciccio De Zorzi fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Carmine Arcari took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberigo Addario. Muggia AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alberigo Addario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio De Zorzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ercole Mara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Alberigo Addario made a huge save. In the 67th minute of the match Muggia AFC got a corner. Abano Calcio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Domenico Gambini ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Muggia AFC's Fabiano Lorefice getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The supporters of Abano Calcio booed when Muggia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arrigo Bosco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Muggia AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ciccio De Zorzi 73 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. The audience was convinced that Fabrizio Di Iulio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciccio Bertoni was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Abano Calcio's Fausto Pozzo got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Fausto Pozzo off the ground. The supporters of Muggia AFC booed when Abano Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Pozzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Attilio Picciano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ciccio Bertoni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Muggia AFC's Alberigo Addario got control of the ball when Ercole Mara tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Muggia AFC's zone, Ennio Tardelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberigo Addario came out of the goal and Ennio Tardelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ennio Tardelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
