Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Corrado Donadoni took the kick off in the first half of the match. Flavio Danza was a little too slow when Arturo Petricca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 10th minute, Cosimo Egger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alex Castellini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 played minutes Palestro got a freekick which was hit by Daniele Di Martino. In the 17thth minute of the game Cosimo Egger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestro's Dave Giacomini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With 29 minutes on the clock, Ciccio Collovati commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 29th minute, one of Brescia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brescia. Dave Giacomini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristoforo Martelli in the 37th minute of play. Daniele Di Martino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Danza having to interfere. Cristoforo Martelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alex Castellini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Dave Giacomini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corrado Donadoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Brescia's Francesco Di Berardino got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Cristoforo Martelli made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Palestro booed when Brescia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Vanni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristoforo Martelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Alex Castellini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Cristoforo Schiacciacasse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palestro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brescia the free kick. In the 67th minute, Cristoforo Schiacciacasse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Bruno Pantani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavio Fracassi missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 70 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Dave Giacomini right hand side. After some careless play in the Brescia defense, Corrado Donadoni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Danza. The Brescia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Danza should have stopped the shot. If Corrado Donadoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristoforo Martelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Dave Giacomini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Petricca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Danza having to interfere.
