If Anselmo Bertoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Attilio Castronovo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amerigo Imperatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciccio Niccolai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Prozzolo AFC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Franco Senatore hit a great ball. Civitas's Concetto Ruggieri got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Augusto Fontanive fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Civitas's protests and gave Augusto Fontanive a yellow card for diving instead. Augusto Fontanive hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Amerigo Imperatore struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Attilio Castronovo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Civitas. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Bertoni in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Ursini saved Civitas from getting behind. Antonio Ursini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Bertoni in the 37th minute. If Anselmo Bertoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Ursini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Bertoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Anselmo Bertoni made the kick off in the second half. If Ciccio Niccolai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amerigo Imperatore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Attilio Castronovo having to make a save. 58 minutes into the match, Concetto Ruggieri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Attilio Castronovo. Prozzolo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Concetto Ruggieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Amerigo Imperatore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Castronovo having to interfere. Attilio Castronovo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Concetto Ruggieri in the 72nd minute. Antonio Ursini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Niccolai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciccio Niccolai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Antonio Ursini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Bertoni in the 81st minute of play forced Civitas's goalkeeper Antonio Ursini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Concetto Ruggieri scored 0-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Attilio Castronovo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antonio Ursini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anselmo Antognoni went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.
