Fedele Di Falco charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fedele Di Falco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Grottaferrata's zone, Felice Circelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Alati came out of the goal and Felice Circelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felice Circelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Christian Alati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Anselmo Fino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Guerrieri. Fosso Ghiaia AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Fino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 0-2 became the score in the 14th minute when Anselmo Fino elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Alessio Lopez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Christian Alati when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Alessio Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Anselmo Fino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Guerrieri. Fosso Ghiaia AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Fino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Antonio Guerrieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Fino in the 30th minute of the match. Anselmo Fino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Antonio Guerrieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Fino scored 0-4 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antonio Guerrieri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felice Circelli to strike the kick off in the second half. If Emiliano Cirelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Grottaferrata's protests and gave Fulvio Macchia a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Fosso Ghiaia AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grottaferrata:s goal. Antonio Guerrieri went to the wrong direction when Dave Giolo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When Emiliano Cirelli came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Grottaferrata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Cirelli couldn't finish the play. In the 78thth minute of the game Anselmo Fino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fosso Ghiaia AFC's Antonio Guerrieri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Anselmo Fino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Grottaferrata got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Molinaro. Alessio Lopez might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Alati. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alessio Lopez ran back to his position shaking his head. 92 minutes into the match, Felice Circelli notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Grottaferrata's Christian Alati. Christian Alati was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Grottaferrata played a much better game than Fosso Ghiaia AFC and deserved their victory. The Fosso Ghiaia AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
