If Cosimo Caporale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anthony Citrullo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Scoca in the 30th minute of play. Cosimo Caporale hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Corrado Fiordelisi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Natale in the 41st minute of play. After 43 minutes Fiumicino FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damiano Bisegna who took care of the corner kick. Ferruccio Mandelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Anthony Citrullo managed to avoid a goal in the 49thth minute, when Fiumicino FC's Ferruccio Mandelli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Fortunato Scoca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tormeno's supporters rose to their feet, but Fortunato Scoca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corrado Fiordelisi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fortunato Scoca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Cosimo Caporale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corrado Fiordelisi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anthony Citrullo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Mandelli in the 69th minute of the match. When Ferruccio Mandelli came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Fiumicino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferruccio Mandelli couldn't finish the play. Ennio Scoca might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anthony Citrullo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ennio Scoca ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fortunato Scoca got free with Corrado Fiordelisi in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferruccio Mandelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Anthony Citrullo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 82 minutes, Cosimo Caporale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tormeno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosimo Caporale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Scoca in the 88th minute of play forced Tormeno's goalkeeper Anthony Citrullo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Federico Di Claudio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fiumicino FC's Antonello Colaussi took a good shot, in the 92nd minute, which hit the crossbar above Anthony Citrullo's head, and flew over the goal. Tormeno's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Fiumicino FC. The Tormeno players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Fiumicino FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
