Armin Iannucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alberigo Cameli came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Corsico AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberigo Cameli couldn't finish the play. Armin Iannucci's late challenge caught a Corsico AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armin Iannucci helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Strozza getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Armin Iannucci hit a great ball. If Alberigo Cameli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Christian Cristofari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Mara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Cristofari in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franco Mara saved Strozza from getting behind. If Ercole Mei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Strozza's Franco Mara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Cameli in the 33rd minute of play. Alberigo Cameli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Mara having to interfere. Franco Mara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Cristofari in the 42nd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alberigo Cameli made the kick off in the second half. Adriano Ferreri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Mara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Corsico AFC's Florian Danza pulled a muscle in his leg after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 52 minutes of play Strozza's Armin Iannucci was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Christian Cristofari's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Mara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. If Ercole Mei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Rossetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 74 minutes, Christian Cristofari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corsico AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Cristofari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
