Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ennio Zola started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Anselmo De Laurentiis notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Strozza's Franco Mara. Franco Mara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 9 minutes, Ennio Zola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fornaci's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ennio Zola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ercole Mei in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demetrio Mazzei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the game, Ennio Zola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fornaci's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strozza the free kick. After 26 minutes, Augusto Masi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fornaci and the Strozza players grew even worse after the yellow card. 28 minutes into the match, Fornaci's goalkeeper Demetrio Mazzei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donato Rossetti. Angelo De Felice hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Enrico Granati struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Demetrio Mazzei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strozza. Strozza's Franco Mara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo De Laurentiis in the 34th minute of play. Anselmo De Laurentiis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Franco Mara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Ennio Zola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fornaci's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ennio Zola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ennio Zola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ercole Mei was the one to do the kick off. Franco Mara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennio Zola in the 53rd minute of the match. Anselmo De Laurentiis in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Franco Mara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Anselmo De Laurentiis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 58 played minutes, Fornaci's Florian Ceresoli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Franco Mara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fornaci reached it. Franco Mara was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Anselmo De Laurentiis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anselmo De Laurentiis really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. If Anselmo De Laurentiis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Franco Mara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Iannotti, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Donato Rossetti hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 71stth minute of the game Donato Rossetti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fornaci's Demetrio Mazzei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 73 played minutes Fornaci got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Manfredi. 74 minutes into the match, Fornaci's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Rossetti came free, but Demetrio Mazzei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Ennio Zola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Mara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Strozza's zone, Anselmo De Laurentiis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Mara came out of the goal and Anselmo De Laurentiis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Demetrio Mazzei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ercole Mei in the 97th minute of the match.
