After a rather tough play, Sgonico's Emanuele Ottavi got a free kick in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sgonico's zone, Ennio Pugliese stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro De Vito came out of the goal and Ennio Pugliese tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adriano Fracassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Fausto Scotti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zoagli's Fausto Scotti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Di Gennaro in the 23rd minute of play. Fausto Scotti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinando Di Gennaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Piccinini during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 33 minutes into the game, Florian Fabrizi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zoagli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sgonico the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Florian Fabrizi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes, Sgonico's Ettore Valente shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fausto Scotti came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sgonico reached it. A collision led to Zoagli getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Comunardo Urbani hit a great ball. Ferdinando Di Gennaro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Ennio Pugliese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ennio Pugliese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Alessandro De Vito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ennio Pugliese in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro De Vito saved Sgonico from getting behind. Ferdinando Di Gennaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferdinando Di Gennaro struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Fausto Scotti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sgonico. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Fortunato Cinque got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 76 minutes, Ferdinando Di Gennaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sgonico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinando Di Gennaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adriano Fracassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Scotti having to interfere. Fortunato Cinque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro De Vito having to interfere. In the 89th minute Ennio Pugliese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro De Vito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinando Di Gennaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Florian Fabrizi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. After 95 played minutes Zoagli got a freekick which was hit by Florian Fabrizi. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
